01
Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square
The two adjoin each other directly and are generally treated as one destination, several hundred stores between them, international fashion houses next to South African retailers like Woolworths, Edgars and Exclusive Books, plus a toy shop, jewellers, and a cinema if the day runs long. Over six thousand parking bays and visible, round the clock security make it an easy half day even for a first time visitor.
02
Rivonia Village, closer to Muco
Five minutes on foot from the guesthouse, Rivonia Village is a smaller, everyday shopping centre, less about designer labels and more about a pharmacy, a supermarket, and casual restaurants, useful for anything you actually forgot to pack.
03
One practical note
Sandton City in particular gets busy on weekends, arrive earlier in the day if browsing without crowds matters more to you than the evening atmosphere.
